This is a picture of me at the Helsinki airport. My last picture in Finland. :(
Sirpa wanted to know how my flight back to the U.S. was so I decided to blog about it. The flight from Helsinki to Iceland was 3 hours long. I had a personal t.v. screen in front of me so it kept me busy. And there was no one sitting next to me so that was nice. In the Iceland airport they changed my gate and I didn't know that but luckily I made it in time. I met a nice Jewish girl who kept me company in that airport. The flight from Iceland from Boston was 5 hours...even though I had my own screen in front of me it did get boring. I sat next to a nice couple from Iceland on the plane. In the Boston airport I went through customs and it was weird but everything went okay. I got my luggage and then I didn't know where to put the luggage. So I went up to a counter and told the person there I had no idea what I was doing. And she said I was in the right spot so that worked out fine. Then I went through security and found my gate. I had to change gates for some reason and on that plane I didn't sit next to anybody. I was able to sleep on the plane it was only an hour plane ride. Once I got to Philadelphia I went to the next gate and had an hour plane ride to Columbus. That flight was the worst because I had a really bad stomach ache. I tried falling asleep and it helped a little bit. There was a seven year old girl next to me who wouldn't stop talking. She was cute though. So I am now an international traveler! I can basically travel anywhere by myself now!

So there was a change of plans. Matilda and I didn't want to be at girls camp because it was kind of boring. We stayed for only a day. These are pictures from when we walked in a huge beautiful Cemetery. We were there last week and I am just now getting the chance to put them up.

Girls' Camp here we come!
Matilda and I are going to Tampere Stake Girls' Camp tomorrow. I'm not exactly sure where it's going to be, but I know it's about 25 minutes away from Jyväskylä. I hope it's going to be a fun three days. We will be back Wednesday night, so I can rest and pack and go somewhere with the Jarvis family on Thursday afternoon and then on Friday morning Sirpa and I will take a train to Helsinki to the airport (well, the train doesn't take us all the way to the airport, but back to Helsinki anyway) and I will be on my way HOME!!!! Abe I can't wait to be home for your Birthday!!
Anyway, I might not get back on the computer to blog about the rest of the trip before I get home. I have a bunch of pictures to put up here though, so, be patient and check back in a week or so. In the meanwhile feel free to comment on the older posts. I love reading them!!! '')

More things I have noticed
This is a gypsy at the grocery store. I just had to take a picture. There are a lot of gypsies here, you can tell who they are because of what they wear. They wear these big dresses, which are hard to miss. The gypsies don't have the best of reputation amongst the Finns, but the ones I've seen have not caused any trouble. See, this lady is just going about getting her grocery shopping done. Thank you lady for letting me sneak this picture of you!! '')
Most houses also have these drying racks that are above the sink in a cupboard. So if not everything fits in the dishwasher you can just put them up here to dry.
This is a very small oven, most apartments have these small ovens.

Also, it seems to me that a lot of people have motorcycles and mopeds. It may just be me but that is what I think.

Villinki
When we were still in Helsinki we went to an Island where Matilda's grandpa works. It was a lot of fun! We went to a part of the Island that I call "The Romantic Place." It is soooo beautiful and we got a ton of pictures! I won't be able to put all of them on so I will try to choose the best ones! I will add some more later.
Me on a rock like a mermaid.

Hey everyone! I haven't been blogging for a while because we haven't had the internet. Even now I am at someone else's house. I have some pictures to put up from Helsinki still. And now since we are in Jyväskylä there hasn't been as much things happening. I have gone shopping though, my money is almost gone! I will hopefully write more later if not, I will catch up when I am back home next week!

Kamppi
Yesterday Matilda and I went to Kampii which is inside of Helsinki. We first went in a mall but I didn't buy anything. Then we ate at McDonalds...haha. We saw Transformers 2 in a big theatre, it was pretty cool. Afterwards we went to a church that was in a rock, it was interesting.
This is the mall it had 6 stories! I didn't get all of them. This is the roof of the church from the inside.

Flamingo
Yesterday we went to an inside waterpark called Flamingo. It was a lot of fun but I didn't get to take that many pictures because we weren't allowed to. It was inside a hotel so there wasn't that many people there which was nice. They had a couple of fun water slides. I just wish the water was colder, it was really warm. We also did some shopping and I got this cute butterfly ring! This is us on the bus on the way to the waterpark.Behind me are the diving boards they were really cool. They are hard to see and next to them there are 3 slides that you can't see. This is the baby pool.
Mikaela on the baby slide. The four of us around the palm tree! Mikaela on the family slide. That is what we called it...I couldn't go down all the way without stopping because there wasn't enough water!

Saturday and temple pictures
On saturday Matilda's cousin Jaron got baptized. I played the piano some of the time...which means playing Sweet Hour of Prayer (the only hymn I can play). After the baptism we went to Soile's house (Sirpa's sister and Jaron's mom). She has two other kids which you have seen in previous pictures. We had pizza and cake there. It is fun to be around Sirpa's family, even though I don't understand what they are saying. But most of them speak some english with me. And when we came back to the apartment I watched a movie with Matilda and went to bed.

The lake and Sini's apartment
On Friday I went to an Indian restaurant for Matilda's grandparents anniversary. It was really good but it was a lot!
After that we went to a lake and met Sini (Sirpa's sister). She works at a foster home for kids who need time away from their families. We went there after swimming in the lake. Then Sini got off work and we went to the grocery store. (me, matilda, merinda, and sirpa) We then went to her apartment and were able to go in the apartment sauna. It was my second time in a sauna! I like them, I wish we had them in the states! It was just me, merinda, and matilda in it, we had the sauna to ourselves. And when we got too hot we could go outside on the balcony. We got home late that night so I couldn't blog about it.
Us at the lake, it was freezing but not as cold as the sea was the day before.
This is me in the grocery store. In most stores there is a Candy King. As you can see there are different types behind me. I have to admit that I have gone 3 times to it. The candy here is soo good!
This is the sauna that we went in.
Here are the showers outside the sauna.
This is the view of the sea and apartments from the balcony.
The lovely clouds that night.
After the sauna. And notice how bright it is outside. It is about 10:30 at night and that is about how dark it gets here.
